Key Worker Childcare Support

Derryhale Primary School will be providing  support to our school community during this critical time of the COVID-19 pandemic. Childcare support will be available for pupils whose parents are key workers in line with the Department of Education definitions.

 We strongly urge parents to only make use of childcare at school as a last resort. Parents should exhaust all other childcare options before applying to send your child to school for childcare.

Children of key workers will continue to be supervised only in the completion of their home learning activities, no active teaching will take place.

Points to Remember:

• Pupils can be dropped off from 8.30am and need to be collected by 2.40pm (normal school hours apply)
• Pupils should bring a snack and packed lunch.
• Pupils should bring stationery to complete their learning packs.
• Pupils should come to school with a coat, hat and gloves- Extended outdoor play will be a part of the daily routine weather permitting.
