Eco Schools 2019/2020
Our topic this year are: litter, waste and healthy living.  We have lots of things planned to increase our knowledge of these areas!
We are delighted to receive our 5th Green Flag!!
Our whole school clean up was a great success.  Despite the weather we got lots done and we all enjoyed getting out in the fresh air!
Our 'litter monitors' checking out the recycling bins!
We presented mugs to the 'Ruth' Charity which will be used to help the homeless in Belfast.
We collected 44 bags of Cash for Clobber.  We will use this money to purchase new flowers for our pots.
Girls working hard preparing our notice board!
We have elected our new eco-committee and talked about our planning for the year ahead! We are delighted to be working with a local charity and will be supporting them in collecting resources for homeless people in Northern Ireland.
Our School Eco Action Plan
Big Spring Clean
With the help of the PSNI we did a litter pick along the Derryhale Road.  We were shocked at the state of the road and couldn't believe the amount of litter we collected.  The local council came to collect the rubbish.
Years 4-7 enjoyed taking part in a whole school clean up.  We worked as a team and got lots of work done!
