The Family and Friends of Derryhale is a welcoming and inclusive parent support group dedicated to fostering strong partnerships between families, the school, and the wider community. We work together through friendship, volunteering, fundraising, and community involvement to support the school's vision and help every child thrive in a caring, positive, and inspiring environment.

Our Aims

The Family and Friends of Derryhale aims to:

• Strengthen the partnership between home and school for the benefit of all pupils.
• Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive school community where every family feels valued.
• Encourage parental engagement and participation in school life.
• Support the wellbeing and development of all children attending Derryhale Primary School.
• Organise social, educational, and community events that bring our community together.
• Raise funds to enhance resources, facilities, and opportunities beyond those provided through the school's core budget.
• Promote positive relationships between the school and the wider community.
• Provide opportunities for parents, carers, grandparents, and friends of the school to contribute their skills, ideas, and time.
